- Angel Aquarium (Pvt) Ltd is a dedicated fish breeding and exporting company established as far back as 1985.
- Angel Aquarium Pvt Ltd has expanded largely into a number of suburban areas, opening additional freshwater ornamental fish farms at Piliyandala, Bandaragama And Lunugamwehera in Hambantota district.
- The company exports fish mainly to Australia, Japan, Germany, UK, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Kuwait, Dubai and the Maldives.
- The driving force behind this undertaking is Rohan L Fernano, managing director and chairman of this enterprise. He possesses wide and valuable experience in the field of aquarium fish breeding and exports.
- Rohan has participated in several international trade fairs in the field of ornamental fish sponsored by relevant government agencies. – Inter zoo in Germany and Aquarama in Singapore and Dubai.
- Unilever Ceylon Ltd was one of the first multinational companies to harness his immense wealth of experience. He supervised their Shrimp Aquaculture project at Seeduwa, Negombo.
- Rohan’s experience in the field of ornamental fish has made him serve as a consultant to many ornamental fish farms in Sri Lanka.
- Rohan not only breeds fish but graciously passes on that knowledge to aspirants in the field of aquaculture. He served as a lecturer to the Fish Group of the Young Zoologists’ Association in Sri Lanka. Also officer at government aquarium ( Zoo -Zoological Department)
- We specialize in 30 Guppy varieties. The fish cultured and grown in our farms leave the aquarium grounds as a direct export or they are sold to local exporters.
- Conducting presentations request by universities ( Jayawardanapura University, Sabaragamuwa University, Anuradhapura University, Ruhunu University, Uva Wellassa University, Kelaniya University, Ocean University & NARA basic on fish breeding, treatment, Aquaculture Industry.)
- Conducting, lecturing and training for Aquaculture training University students in our farm.
- Facilitating schools to visit our fish farm to build their knowledge on aquaculture entrepreneurship for many schools.
- Helping many organizations in Government and donating many social works.
- Rohan is a director in Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce.
